My car is EEEEVVVIILLLLLL! :chainsaw:

Seriously. My cars been pulling a Michigan J. Frog for two weeks now. Ever since the serious rains started down here my cars been acting funny. She runs fine except more often than not when I try and start it. It cranks but the engine won't turn over. And always when I needed it most. :fear: Going to work, getting back from the grocery store, helping friends. It was like it was mocking me. :fuzzydemon:

So I finally take her in to a garage failing in all my efforts to diagnose the problem. They didn't know what was wrong with it either! They thought something was wrong with ME! They day before I brought it I must've tried a dozen times to start the engine and nothing. Out of shear luck I got it going in the early cool hours of the morning. Time and time again they started it up without any hesitation. Diagnostics, gauges poked in every facet, four guys monitoring ever side of the car and they couldn't recreate the problem. It took them three hours to tell me this.

I decided enough was enough and walked back there, sat down in my car and cranked it. It wouldn't start. They almost pissed themselves.

With what little they observed the saw fit to give me a theory on what the cause was. Shorted out sensors and a leaking engine block. Sounds expensive doesn't it?

Well it was.

I pick my car up the next morning. Seemed fine. drove her a short while home and pleased with myself I got ready for a rewarding day out on the job. I get in my car and turn the key and...

Utter the loudest profanities in my life.

It wouldn't start... Never in my life have I been so pissed. I called the garage in a stewing rage while they made every concession to please me. I got a tow truck to come by and hitched a ride to verbally destroy the first mechanic I saw. Before that could happen they swiftly swarmed the car. Going everything as quickly as possible. Then one of them started the engine. First try.

Thats when I threw up my own brain. :puke:

She's been running perfectly fine after that.

By the way I saw Up today. Pretty damn good movie. =)

Oh yeah. Sounds familiar. My car has a problem with the wiring. In the summer, when the air is really humid where I live, the car develops gremlins. Sometimes the windshield wipers randomly turn on and off. Sometimes the 'anti-theft' device clicks on when I start the car. That locks my starter for ten minutes and doesn't let me turn my car on. Very convenient.

You have my pity.

Still in shock. How about you?
:iconkoibitodragon:
Wow, that sucks. The only other weird thing my car's been doing is that clicking sound you make when you turn on a signal goes off randomly of keeps ticking for about a minute or two. Really kills the music and it only happens during the warm months.

You may be on to something with the gremlins though. I'm not the only guy on my street having car problems. Waiting on the tow truck that day my neighbor one house over couldn't start his truck. He went at it for like twenty minutes. I had no such compunctions.
