Yup, my poor little lappy's operating system crashed like a mother last Sunday. Did all I could but alas nothing but booting up and BAM! Blue screen town. After many attempts at amateur programming and random troubleshooting I called my friend who deals with this kinda crap professionally. My foolish pride be damned! Just one day later after some desperate web browsing on my Wii and work I get the call.
My Laptop lives! But not 100%... She has amnesia. =O
The entire hard drive had to be wiped clean.
So for the past few days I've been jumping around corner to corner in my house delving for software I hadn't touched in years. Its not like it was but pretty damn close. What programs I couldn't find I found others that could in a roundabout way do the same things but it'll take some getting use to.
It kinda feels like moving. I didn't really feel right until I uploaded my alot of old stuff from my random backup discs. Picture files mostly, I've been adding to my collection for over five years now but now I only have the first two. Let this be a lesson to ya. Make backups and make them often. Maybe every five months or so. Found alot of music I hadn't listened to in awhile though. A whole freaking collection of Sinatra and Johnny Cash I completely forgot about.
*hugs Lappy*
We'll get through this.

Good luck with that
